2024-25 Competitive Teams Tryout Information

2024/25 COMPETITIVE Team
TRYOUT INFORMATION
This tryout schedule is subject to change based on updates from OWHA

The CGHA Competitive tryout schedule has been set. Registration will take place 45 minutes prior to the first tryout of Tier 1, 2 or 3 divisions.

One time cost of $90 for U18
One time cost of $70 for U15, U13, U11,U9
U18/15/13/U11/U9 will take place in the Spring
The CGHA reserves the right to remove a player from a level if the player should not be trying out at that level.

All players must register prior to the tryout on-line for the 2024-25 season.

Players from outside Cornwall Girls Hockey Association (CGHA) will be required to have a Permission to Skate (PTS) or official release from their girls organization.

A release or PTS is not required for:

1. Players who are transferring from a "male" organization AND never registered with OWHA or

2. Players who are registering with OWHA for the first time.

However, these players must sign CGHA association registration in order to be eligible for insurance coverage to participate in tryouts and/or exhibition games.

Please Note: "Players from USA wishing to tryout must complete USA HOCKEY /HOCKEY CANADA TRY-OUT NOTICE and electronically send it to b illallan327@gmail.com . This is a time sensitive document." The CGHA must receive the document at least 1 week prior to first tryout date. Documents must be sent by the CGHA to OWHA and must be approved by OWHA prior to a player stepping on the ice.

ALL GOALIES ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO ATTEND THEIR SCHEDULED EVALUATION TRYOUT. We would also like to pre-register all goalies. Please send an email to b illallan327@gmail.com with player name and level of play.(ie U9, U11 etc)
