Bantam B wins Gold!

2018-12-03

Cornwall Typhoon Girls Bantam B went undefeated and won the gold medal in the CanAm Challange Cup in Montreal over the weekend.

The tournament drew teams from the United States and Canada. The typhoons went into the playoffs winning all their games with shutouts by our outstanding goalies Emily McLaughlin and Amelie Brunet. The Typhoons were down 1-0  against the Hamilton Hawks in the playoff game until the last 2 minutes of the 3rd period. Tessa Ramsey scored the tie goal, then Julia Cameron scored the winning goal with less then 1 minute of play. This is the second gold medal the bantam B Typhoon girls have taken home this year. This accomplishment could not have been done without teamwork and determination from both the players and coaches. GO TYPHOONS GO!
