Atom C are Provincial Champions

2018-04-11

Cornwall Atom C Typhoons are Provincial GOLDEN GIRLS!

It has been 15 years since the Cornwall Girls Hockey Association took home their last provincial Gold medal. For a small town club, we have a lot of hardware, but the last Ontario Gold was earned back in 2003.
The dry spell was broken last weekend at the Ontario Women's Hockey Association Provincial Championships, when the Atom C Typhoon's won gold in their division.
The Typhoon's triumphed through their competition undefeated. The gold medal match was a battle against the Temiskaming Shores Puckhounds who were also undefeated in the standings. Temiskaming was a strong and fast team of hearty Northern young ladies. The Gold medal game was evenly matched, intense and well fought, but Cornwall prevailed with a 5-3 win.
This Atom C team also claimsd the title of Ottawa District (ODWHA) Champions earlier in the month. Congratulations to everyone involved.
