Congratulations go out to Sara O'Brien and Karahkwenhawe White, two players from the Cornwall Bantam B Typhoon Hockey team. They have been selected to represent Canada in the IIHF Global Game.
The Ontario Women's Hockey Association ( OWHA) is hosting the Canadian portion of the 2018 Global Game in cooperation with Hockey Canada and the IIHF.
Sara and Karah will join 18 other OWHA players with an 20 additional players from all other provinces and territories. Players will be mixed geographically with the goal of creating similar caliber and mix of girls from various part of Canada. These 40 players will represent Canada's contingent in the Global game.
Thirty-five countries will also be hosting local games starting in Australia then will move around the world. This IIHF Global Game will take place in Toronto the weekend of March 9-11. Canada's game will start at 5:30pm, at the Iceland Arena in Mississauga
