GET WELL SOON.

2017-09-18

The Typhoon community would like to send special wishes and prayers to Camryn Cook for a speedy recovery from a surprise illness that has forced her out of hockey for the season. Please read below a message from Camryn's mother, Tracie, to the CGHA.

"Unfortunately Camryn Cook will be unable to play this hockey season. On August 11 she fell critically ill and has been hospitalized since. She got an infection in her hip joint, then the infection went to her blood, lungs and bone. She has had 9 surgeries, 2 blood transfusions, has a PICC line and a wound vac to help with her healing. It is undetermined when she will be able to go home. We do know she will need a walker, a wheelchair and lots of physical therapy. Her heart is in hockey so much, she absolutely loves to play. Hearing the news of she will be unable to play this season broke her heart.
The nurses and Camryn will play in the hallways while she is in her wheelchair. She misses you all."
