MIDGET B WIN GOLD IN BELLEVILLE

After all the preliminary rounds the Typhoons were ranked 3^rd in the standings and would need to play a late night 10:00pm quarter final vs 6^th place Ennismore Eagles in which they won 5 to 1 to advance to the semifinals on Sunday vs Nepean Wildcats. In a tough close game, the Typhoons won 2 to 0 to advance to the Finals. 

In the Championship game the Typhoons would play a tough Ottawa Ice team for the championship. In a closely played game that showed great sportsmanship and great team play from both Teams. It wasn’t until mid-way thru the 3^rd period that the Typhoons were able to hit the back of the net to take a 1 to 0 lead. The single goal was enough as the tight defensive play and outstanding goaltending continued for the Typhoons to win the New Year’s Classic.
