Cornwall Bantam B Typhoons GOLD

The Cornwall Bantam B Typhoons competed in the Annual Gloucester-Cumberland Girls Competitive Tournament, Kickin’ Ice In The Capital on December 9-11, 2016 and captured gold.  This tournament win is special as the Typhoons competed against teams from their ODWHA league.  The tournament started Friday with a 3-1 win against the Nepean Wildcats, Saturday afternoon the Typhoons lost 2-1 against the Russell Coyotes but rebounded later in the evening with a 3-0 win against the tournament host Gloucester Stars.  At the end of round robin play there was a 3 way tie for 1^st overall, the Typhoons having the best goals against average were seeded 1^st overall and would compete in the semi final game on Sunday morning.  The Typhoons would once again compete against the Gloucester Stars winning the game 3-1 and advancing to the championship game against the Nepean Wildcats.  The championship game was intense as both teams wanted to capture gold, the Typhoons emerged victorious with an exciting 2-1 win. MVP for each tournament game were Avery Brown (Nepean), Karah White (Russell), Sara O’Brien (Gloucester), Brenna Cameron (Gloucester) and Chloeanne Sequin (Nepean)
